Weekly Updates.

The blog page will be used to convey weekly information for the Ladder Schedule and Results. Information like: “who I am playing” and “what time” will be available every Thursday night. This is also where you will find any last minute changes, it will therefore be the player’s responsibility to know their time and court assignment each week.

We missed Rene and Boyd last weekend but super stoked that Rusty could join us again!

The weather forecast for the weekend is expected to be: “Sunny skies. High around 85F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.”

I will have the schedule posted this Thursday assuming everyone will be there for the last day of the league but please let me know if you will not be able to make it by Friday so that I have enough time to make adjustments.

See you all this weekend!

We have 3 players sharing the number 1 spot for week 3, congratulations to them! We also have a new overall leader, Nimit, congratulations to you!

We would also like to welcome Linda to the league, hope you enjoy your time with us. Finally, a special thanks to Bhoomi, who substituted for us, we could not have made it without you.

“It’s OK to Be Good and Not Great”

Insane Points

This is the epitome of our sport, playing on center court at one of the top tournaments and if it’s for the Gold Medal even better.

I believe there are several skills needed to play at this level. 1) Patience; the ability to know when to apply this during a match is key. 2) Defense; the ability to keep the ball in play when attacked. 3) Dinking; the ability to play in the "kitchen," keeping the ball low, unattackable, moving your opponents and forcing them to create an opportunity to attack. 4) Shot Selection; what to hit and when. Knowing that not every attackable ball is attackable!
